This month, a meeting was held between the project coordinator Università di Firenze (UNIFI) and project partner Bluebiloba at the Lucardo experimental site. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to begin on-site work focused on defining the optimal set-up of the monitoring system for urban tree stability, which represents a key objective of the TREESURE project.
Working directly in the field allowed the partners to observe site-specific conditions and to start discussing practical aspects related to sensor placement, data collection needs, and system configuration. This hands-on approach is essential for ensuring that the monitoring solutions developed within TREESURE are robust, reliable, and adaptable to real urban environments.
The meeting also represented an important moment of scientific and technical exchange. It enabled in-depth discussions on survey protocols and experimental tests that will be implemented across the three project case-study cities, ensuring methodological consistency while accounting for local specificities.
The meeting was attended by Francesca Giannetti, Gianni Bartoli, Andrea Giachetti, Giacomo Zini, Ilaria Incollu, Yamuna Giambastiani, and Tommaso Tognetti, whose combined expertise contributed to a productive and forward-looking discussion.
